Supreme Court PMLA Hearing: सुप्रीम कोर्ट आज यानी गुरुवार को मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग एक्ट के फैसले को चुनौती देने वाली कार्ति चिदंबरम की याचिका पर सुनवाई करेगा। याचिका पर खुली अदालत में सुनवाई होगी। इससे पहले सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने 27 जुलाई को प्रिवेंशन ऑफ मनी लॉड्रिंग एक्ट के तहत ईडी द्वारा की गई गिरफ्तारी, जब्ती और जांच की प्रक्रिया को बरकरार रखा था। मिली जानकारी के मुताबिक सुप्रीम कोर्ट आज तय करेगा कि 27 जुलाई के फैसले पर फिर से विचार किया जाए या नहीं। बता दें कि कार्ति चिदंबरम ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में ईडी की शक्तियों को बरकरार रखने के 27 जुलाई के फैसले पर फिर से विचार करने के लिए याचिका दाखिल की थी।
आपको बता दें कि कार्ति चिदंबरम द्वारा दाखिल किए गए याचिका में धन शोधन निवारण अधिनियम के प्रावधानों को चुनौती दी गई थी। इनमें पीएमएलए के तहत अपराध की आय की तलाशी, गिरफ्तारी, जब्ती, जांच और कुर्की के लिए ईडी को उपलब्ध शक्तियों के व्यापक दायरे को चुनौती दी गई। इसके अलावा इसमें कहा गया है कि ये प्रावधान मौलिक अधिकारों का हनन करते हैं।

कार्ति चिदंबरम के कई ठिकानों पर हुई थी छापेमारी
केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो ने मई महीने में कांग्रेस नेता कार्ति चिदंबरम के ठिकानों पर छापेमारी की थी। यह छापेमारी दिल्ली, मुंबई और चेन्नई समेत कई ठिकानों पर की गई थी। इसके बाद जो बातें सामने आई उसमें कहा गया कि सीबीआई की छापेमारी मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग मामले में की गई है। बता दें कि चिदंबरम के बेटे पर कई मामले चल रहे हैं। इनमें आईएनएक्स मीडिया को एफआईपीबी क्लीयरेंस मिलने का भी मामला शामिल है। मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स के मानें तो यह मामला तब का है जब चिदंबरम वित्त मंत्री थे। सूत्रों से मिली जानकारी के मुताबिक जांच एजेंसी ने कार्ति के खिलाफ एक नया मामला दर्ज किया था, जो विदेशों से मिले पैसे से जुड़ा हुआ हैं। यह पैसा वर्ष 2010 से 2014 के दौरान लिया गया था। जानकारी के मुताबिक सीबीआई ने कार्ति चिदंबरम के करीब कई ठिकानों पर मामले को लेकर पड़ताल की थी।
