Jharkhand: झारखंड में एक पत्रकार को आधी रात उसके बेडरूम से गिरफ्तार करने के मामले में सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने झारखंड सरकार की खिंचाई की है।
सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सोमवार को रंगदारी के एक मामले में निजी चैनल के पत्रकार अरूप चटर्जी की गिरफ्तारी पर सवाल उठाए हैं। शीर्ष न्यायालय ने पुलिस द्वारा रात में बेडरूम से पत्रकार की गिरफ्तारी की निंदा की है। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा कि पत्रकार आतंकवादी नहीं है। पुलिस की कार्रवाई ज्यादती है। ऐसा लगता है कि झारखंड में पूरी तरह अराजकता व्याप्त है।
न्यायमूर्ति डीवाई चंद्रचूड़ और न्यायमूर्ति हिमा कोहली की पीठ ने पत्रकार को अंतरिम जमानत देने के झारखंड उच्च न्यायालय के आदेश में हस्तक्षेप करने से इनकार कर दिया और कहा कि वह राज्य की अपील पर विचार नहीं करेगी। न्यायालय ने घटना पर कड़ी नाराजगी व्यक्त करते हुए झारखंड के अतिरिक्त महाधिवक्ता अरुणाभ चौधरी से कहा कि आप आधी रात को एक पत्रकार का दरवाजा खटखटाते हैं और उसे उसके बेडरूम से बाहर निकालते हैं। आप ऐसा एक ऐसे व्यक्ति के साथ कर रहे हैं, जो पत्रकार है और पत्रकार आतंकवादी नहीं हैं।

शीर्ष अदालत ने की मौखिक टिप्पणी
शीर्ष अदालत ने पत्नी की याचिका पर पत्रकार अरूप चटर्जी को जमानत देने के उच्च न्यायालय के आदेश के खिलाफ झारखंड सरकार की अपील पर सुनवाई करते हुए ये मौखिक टिप्पणी की। उसे 16 और 17 जुलाई की दरम्यानी रात रंगदारी के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया गया था। चटर्जी को 2 दिन बाद रिहा कर दिया गया था।
वकील ने दिया ये तर्क
झारखंड के वकील ने तर्क दिया कि उच्च न्यायालय ने आदेश पारित करने से पहले चटर्जी की पत्नी की याचिका पर पुलिस की तरफ से अपनी स्थिति रिपोर्ट जमा करने का इंतजार नहीं किया। पीठ ने इस मामले में हस्तक्षेप करने से इनकार कर दिया क्योंकि जमानत आदेश एक अंतरिम था।
पत्रकार की पत्नी ने किया ये दावा
चटर्जी की पत्नी ने दावा किया कि धनबाद पुलिस ने उनके पति को रांची में उनके आवास से गिरफ्तार किया और स्थानीय पुलिस को सूचित नहीं किया, जो सीआरपीसी के तहत अनिवार्य है। उच्च न्यायालय में, उसने दावा किया कि भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ एक कहानी प्रसारित करने के लिए उसके पति को परेशान किया गया और उसे निशाना बनाया गया।
