Twitter Moves High Court: आईटी मंत्रालय का कहना था कि अगर इन ट्वीटस को नहीं हटाया गया तो कंपनी के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की जाएगी। मंत्रालय का कहना था कि आदेश का उल्लंघन करने पर ट्वीटर के मुख्य अनुपालन अधिकारी पर आपराधिक कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
सोशल मीडिया कंपनी ट्विटर ने केंद्र सरकार की ओर से कॉन्टेंट को हटाने के आदेश को कर्नाटक हाई कोर्ट में चुनौती दी है। मंगलवार को ट्विटर ने भारत सरकार के 2021 में दिए गए आदेश के खिलाफ अदालत का रुख किया। बीते साल केंद्र सरकार ने ट्विटर, फेसबुक और इंस्टाग्राम से कुछ कॉन्टेंट को हटाने को कहा था। इनमें से कुछ पोस्ट्स कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण से जुड़ी भी थीं। जिन लोगों के अकाउंट्स में पब्लिश सामग्री को हटाने के लिए कहा गया था, उनमें बंगाल की सीएम ममता बनर्जी, कांग्रेस के प्रवक्ता पवन खेड़ा और विनोद कापड़ी शामिल थे।
सरकार की ओर से बीते साल जनवरी और अप्रैल में ये नोटिस जारी किए गए थे। इसके साथ ही इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स एंड आईटी मिनिस्ट्री का कहना था कि यदि इन ट्वीट्स को नहीं हटाया गया तो फिर ट्विटर के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की जाएगी। सरकार का कहना था कि आदेश का उल्लंघन करने पर ट्विटर के मुख्य अनुपालन अधिकारी पर आपराधिक कार्रवाई की जाएगी। इन्हीं आदेशों को चुनौती देते हुए ट्विटर ने अब कर्नाटक हाई कोर्ट में अर्जी दाखिल की है। कंपनी का कहना है कि कॉन्टेंट को ब्लॉक करने का आदेश आईटी एक्ट के सेक्शन 69A से अलग है।
बता दें कि आईटी एक्ट के सेक्शन 69 (A) के मुताबिक यदि कोई सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट या अकाउंट सामाजिक व्यवस्था को बिगाड़ सकता है या फिर देश की संप्रभुता और अखंडता के खिलाफ सामग्री पोस्ट करता है तो फिर ऐसी पोस्ट्स और अकाउंट के खिलाफ सरकार एक्शन ले सकती है। बता दें कि केंद्र सरकार के अलावा कई राज्य सरकारों से भी ट्विटर के मतभेद देखने को मिले हैं। उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस की ओर से बीते साल ट्विटर इंडिया के हेड मनीष माहेश्वरी को आपराधिक दंड संहिता की धारा 41ए के तहत नोटिस जारी किया गया था।
दरअसल, यूपी में एक वीडियो वायरल हो रहा था जिसमें आरोप था कि मुस्लिम बुजुर्ग को कुछ लोगों ने कहा था कि वह अपनी दाढ़ी बनवा ले और वंदे मातरम एवं जय श्री राम के नारे लगाए। यह वीडियो जांच में गलत पाया गया था और बुजुर्ग भी अपने आरोपों से मुकर गया था। इसके बाद एक एफआईआर ट्विटर और अन्य लोगों के खिलाफ भी दर्ज की गई थी। तब माहेश्वरी ने कर्नाटक हाई कोर्ट का रुख करके अंतरिम राहत की मांग की थी और उन्हें मिल भी गई थी। इसके बाद उस आदेश को यूपी सरकार ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट में चुनौती दी थी, जो अब भी लंबित है।
