देश में कोरोना के बढ़ते खतरे को देखते हुए सभी शिक्षण संस्थान को बंद कर दिया गया है ऐसे में कयास लगाए जा रहे थे कि 7 जनवरी से 16 जनवरी तक आयोजित होने वाली यूपीएससी सिविल सर्विस भर्ती मेन परीक्षा को स्थगित कर दिया जाएगा लेकिन अब यह साफ हो गया है कि परीक्षा जिस तरह से शेड्यूल किया गया था उसी तरह अपने तय वक्त पर शुरू होगा।
बता दें कि कोरोना के बढ़ते मामलों के बीच परीक्षा को स्थगित करने की मांग ने जोर पकड़ लिया था। वहीं कुछ लोग परीक्षा आयोजित करने के पक्ष में थे। ऐसे में परीक्षा को स्थगित करने के लिए हाईकोर्ट में याचिका दायर की गई थी। इस याचिका पर आज दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट में सुनवाई हुई है। सुनवाई के बाद दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट ने परीक्षा को स्थगित करने की मांग को लेकर दायर याचिका को खारिज कर दिया है।
यूपीएससी की तरफ से मामले पर दलील दे रहे वकील कौशिक ने सुनवाई के दौरान याचिका का विरोध करते हुए कहा डेल्टा लहर के दौरान भी अदालत ने याचिका को खारिज कर दिया था। यह कहते हुए कि सार्वजनिक तंत्र को गति में रखा जाना जरूरी है। sc ने इसी तरह की याचिका को पहले भी खारिज किया था। हम 3 साल से महामारी से जूझ रहे हैं। अपने वापिस शेड्यूल में आना होगा। हम पहले से ही खोए हुए समय की भरपाई करने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं।
उन्होंने आगे कहा कि परीक्षा बीते साल अक्टूबर या नवंबर के महीने में आयोजित की जानी थी। इसे पहले ही देरी से जनवरी में आयोजित किया जा रहा है अगर और देरी होती है तो यूपीएससी संविधान द्वारा सौंपे गए कामों को संभालने में सक्षम नहीं होगा। उन्होंने ये भी कहा कि घर में भी लोग संक्रमण से सुरक्षित नहीं है यह वायरस बहुत संक्रमित हैं ऐसे में परीक्षा स्थगित करना उचित नहीं है।
याचिकाकर्ता की तरफ से पैरवी कर रहे वकील अनुश्री कपाड़िया ने कहा कि यह संभव है कि उम्मीदवार परीक्षा देते समय संक्रमण की चपेट में आ सकते हैं। उम्मीदवार बिना सोशल डिस्टेंसिंग के तीन अन्य लोगों के साथ एक ही कमरे में 6 घंटे समय गुजारेंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि यूपीएससी की तरफ से इसके लिए कोई sip नहीं है। ऐसे में अगर किसी उम्मीदवार की हालत बिगड़ती है तो उसे सांस की समस्या के साथ परीक्षा देनी होगी।
दोनों पक्षों की सुनवाई के बाद दिल्ली हाईकोर्ट ने इसमें हस्तक्षेप नहीं करने की बात करते हुए याचिका को खारिज कर दिया है। अब परीक्षा पहले से तय शेड्यूल पर होगी।
