नई दिल्ली/ दूरसंचार विभाग (DoT) ने मोबाइल सिम लेने के नियमों में बड़े बदलाव किये हैं। दूरसंचार विभाग ने कहा कि भारत में नाबालिगों को सिम कार्ड जारी नहीं किए जाने चाहिए। इसका सीधा मतलब यह है कि अब 18 साल से कम उम्र का कोई भी व्यक्ति देश के किसी भी टेलीकॉम ऑपरेटर से सिम कार्ड नहीं खरीद सकता है। साथ ही जिन व्यक्ति की मानसिक स्थिति ठीक नहीं है, ऐसे लोगों को सिम-कार्ड जारी करने पर प्रतिबंध लगया गया है। अगर ऐसा करते पाया जाता है, तो इसके लिए टेलिकॉम ऑपरेटर को दोषी माना जाएगा।
कस्टमर एक्यूजिशन फॉर्म भरने पर ही मिलेगा सिम कार्ड
नया सिम खरीदने के लिए ग्राहकों को एक कस्टमर एक्विजिशन फॉर्म (CAF) भरना होता है। यह आमतौर पर टेलीकॉम कंपनी और ग्राहक के बीच एक समझौता होता है। इस फॉर्म में अब संशोधन किया गया है जिसके मुताबिक सिम कार्ड खरीदने की उम्र 18 साल से कम नहीं होनी चाहिए। इसके अलावा यदि किसी व्यक्ति की मानसिक स्थिति ठीक नहीं है तो उसे भी सिम कार्ड नहीं बेचा जा सकता।

अपने नाम से खरीद सकते है 12 सिम कार्ड
भारत में एक व्यक्ति अधिकतम अपने नाम से 12 सिम खरीद सकता है। इसमें से 9 सिम का इस्तेमाल मोबाइल कॉलिंग के लिए किया जा सकता है। जबकि 9 सिम का इस्तेमाल मशीन-टू-मशीन कम्यूनिकेशन के लिए उपयोग किया जा सकेगा।
बदल गये नये सिम लेने के नियम
दूरसंचार विभाग की तरफ से मोबाइल सिम लेने के लिए eKYC और Self KYC प्रक्रिया शुरू की गई है। इसके तहत घर बैठे नया मोबाइल कनेक्शन हासिल किया जा सकेगा। साथ ही प्री-पेड से पोस्डपेड और पोस्टपेड से प्री-पेड में सिम पोर्ट करने लिए सिम बदलना नहीं होगा। नेटवर्क प्रोवाइडर कंपनी एप के जरिए यूजर्स खुद केवाईसी कर पाएगी और इसके लिए ग्राहकों से सिर्फ 1 रुपये का शुल्क लिया जाएगा।
